Mock Rock - High School Musical
Athletes' of the Week - Paso Press
An impressive group of faculty and students performed before a sell out crowd at this year's THS Mock Rock. Those in attendance were wowed at the talented vocals and dance routines that highlighted a very talented and spirited group of young people and adults that took the stage. Thanks to FNL and the THS ASB for making this happen.
Justice Gibbons highlighted in Telegram Tribune as one of the top baseball "impact players" in the county. Great job Justice!
Fannie Osran from Templeton High School was chosen as this year's recipient of the $1,000 Congregation Beth David Social Action Award to a high school senior! Fannie stated that when she heard about the award, she knew she had to apply because she cared so much about Social Action & Social Justice!
Fannie has been president of her school's Kindness Club for 3 years, organizing events that improve students' days and promote tolerance. As president of the club she is known for making things happen and saying things like, "Everyone has a different love language-a different way they acknowledge love from others. Let's make sure we come up with ways to reach everyone during our week of kindness".
Fannie became an advocate for her fellow students by petitioning for a student representative position on the Templeton School Board and then becoming that first student representative!
Fannie has organized peaceful protests, volunteered for multiple projects helping others and is known to be a supportive team member in her many activities. She is very knowledgeable and concerned about worldwide refugee problems and is seeking ways
to be involved. She will be presented her award at Shabbat Services on Friday, May 5th at CBD at 7 pm! The community is welcome to attend!
THS Varsity Girls took 4 of the top 5 spots in this year's LPL Pentathlon - Amanda Wilson 1st, Gwen Hazel 2nd, Jessica Shapiro 4th, and Peyton TenEyck 5th. JV Girls' results - Ali Skinner placed 3rd and Ava Gray 4th. In the Boys' Varsity Eric Cooper placed 5th. Great job THS Swim.
